How do I pay for Czech private health insurance?

The short answer is bank transfer or credit cards are accepted by the insurance companies.

If you are arranging the insurance yourself, at the end of the application you will be asked to pay. The insurance documents are not issued immediately by the insurance company. The insurance company wait for the payment to clear before issuing the relevant documents.

Czech private health insurance has to be paid for in advance.
Czech state health insurance is paid monthly out of your paycheck.
Czech private health insurance is for people who will be self employed, studying or do not expect to work during their time in CR. Therefore the insurance has to be paid for in advance, in one payment.
You will need to pay for all your insurance at one time. That means if the embassy will give you a two year visa, you will need two years insurance. You can arrange the insurance yoru self through this website or through the insurance company website. The links are the same.

Insurance documents you will require for your visa collection

There are three documents you will need to "prove" you have health insurance for your visa colletion.
A copy of the insurance contract in your name
Proof that you have paid for the insurance
The health insurance card

When you buy your insurance online the insurance company systems autogenerate pdfs and automatically email you the pdfs.
All you need to do is print off the documents and hand then to the embassy staff when they ask for them.
