What does PVZP basic health insurance cover?

This insurance covers:
emergency medical treatment
emergency dental treatment of acutely painful dental conditions(up to agreed limit)
necessary and urgent examinations needed to establish the diagnosis and medical procedure
hospitalisation (as part of emergency treatment)
outpatient prescription medications
emergency transport to a health-care facility
possible repatriation of the insured person, including the transport of remains to the home country of the insured person

What does PZVP Basic health insurance NOT cover?

This insurance does not cover:
standard GP/doctors visits
treatment for illnesses or injuries that existed before the insurance contract was concluded and insurer is not obligated to provide insurance benefits for events that occurred before the start of the insurance.
preventive examinations, control examinations or medical examinations and treatment not related to sudden illnesses or injuries.
non-acute dental treatment and related services, costs for tooth replacements, caps or jaw adjustments, braces, bridgework, plaque or tartar removal.
